Hello Everyone:
Happy Holidays!
We’ve been a little slow on getting news out. We hope this short but
sweet newsletter brings some cheer!
NEW
FESTIVAL DATES
Due to many factors, the Judy Garland Museum’s Wizard
of Oz Festival, it has been moved to later in June. The 2018 Festival will take
place:
Thursday,
June 14th through Saturday, June 16th
More information later.
HOURS
OF OPERATION
During the winter months, we are only open Fridays and
Saturdays from 10-5. The new exceptions to this are school holidays. Also
please note, we will be CLOSED on Christmas or New Years.
After enjoying a successful four year stay, The Land of Oz exhibit has packed up and
moved on. During its time at the Judy Garland Museum it was enjoyed by
thousands of visitors. We are so happy you enjoyed it.
With great excitement, we announce the preview of our
new exhibit:
JUDY GARLAND: AMERICA’S TREASURE.
Folks around the Museum, most particularly, our director, John Kelsch, have been working tirelessly, reorganizing our collection in order to create an insightful and entertaining new exhibit for the public.
JUDY GARLAND: AMERICA’S TREASURE.
Folks around the Museum, most particularly, our director, John Kelsch, have been working tirelessly, reorganizing our collection in order to create an insightful and entertaining new exhibit for the public.
Unofficially, the exhibit opens this Saturday,
December 10. Over the next months, however, many refinements will occur. It
takes a lot of work to create an exhibit and by May, we are sure it is going to
be a sparkling and exciting tribute to the star we know as “the World’s
Greatest Entertainer.”
EXCITING
NEWS COMING
We cannot fully reveal this news yet, we can only tell
you that in sometime soon, a very well-known television show will be filming a
feature presentation at the Judy Garland Museum. The results will appear sometime
this spring on television. Stay tuned for the great reveal in 2018!
GIFTS! GIFTS! GIFTS!
Recently, we have received a large number of donations. In addition to sorting and cataloging our collection, we have found a large number of CDs, DVDs, and Oz collectibles. In addition, there are a number of Judy Garland buttons for sale.
If you are looking for some rare CDs or other items, please call the museum or e-mail us as we very well may have them!
